.. this morning it finally hit me. You know that what they say is that a person individually has a set period of time in which he is most productive. This resulting in said person to work harder and be more concentrated to do the task he is given. That this is different per person.

.. well, i think i have found mine ..

I by now can say with a high percentage of certainty that my most productive time period is the one where i stand still in traffic jams.

Now that said, i once spoke to a colleague of mine who actually said something which makes sense, it comes down to the following:

Every morning he would be pissed off at everyone standing in traffic, frustrating himself over little things as slow speed, traffic stops, traffic lights, accidents and what not. Being so eaten by it that by the time he arrived at his work he would already be tired and depressed. Then finally it hit him (im glad he shared it with me), he told me that he had an insight, every morning he would go to his office to do his work, but he can do the same work also from his home. Thus explaining that he doesnt have to be on the road to go to work. Some people do have to go to work, to maybe do physical labor, treating patients, drilling teeth, farming hair and what not. But we are in a line of work, the office people, where most of our work can easily be done from home. We should only have to come in the office when we need to do maintenance, or eat cake.

I can only say that Tim Ferris was right and that the ability to work from home should be more supported by grand offices, this would not only save on traffic jams, the environment, but it would certainly also be better for everyone’s own personal health … (rant on)

Oh wow, al bijna een maand niets geschreven gepost, nou had ik ook niet echt een idee wat er te schrijven viel eerlijk gezegd, maar goed, eens kijken wat ik nu allemaal uit mijn duim kan zuigen :D

Bijna een jaar terug schreef ik over Pinball Fantasies, en zijn tegenhanger Pinball Dreams, waarbij ik toen al aangaf dat Pinball Fantasies gewoon the best game ever is :) Wel nu, ik was gister avond bij een vriend van mij thuis voor een ras echte movie night \o/ en toen op de een of andere manier werd het tijdens het spelen van een Arkanoid like spelletje ineens heel erg retro :) ik vertelde dus wederom (tjah ik val in herhaling) dat Pinball Fantasies gewoon super vet tof en kei enzo was en tot mijn grote verbazing zei hij, “Maar die kun je nu kopen in de Playstation Store … ” , o_O , nadat ik van de schok bijgekomen was was ook meteen het eerste wat er na volgde een aantal ronden jaja Pinball Fantasies \o/

Natuurlijk brengt het aanbreken van een nieuw jaar voor de meesten onder ons de tijd om even diep na te denken en te kijken wat ze graag aan zichzelf veranderd willen hebben, goedevoornemens, zo heb ik ze natuurlijk ook, maar sinds ik gister avond geleerd heb is het een oud Chinees gebruik om deze dus niet uit te spreken, dus je zult van mij niet horen dat ik nog beter op mijn voeding ga letten, minder vage projecten ga starten die toch niet af komen, proberen dingen vanuit een rustiger oogpunt te bekijken, me meer bezig ga proberen te houden met (leer)boeken ipv internet of bijvoorbeeld zelfs wat vaker de deur uit zal gaan. Je zult niets van dit alles uit mijn mond horen komen :)

Maar voor nu, mijn pinball table begint al te roepen, en het is ook nog eens etenstijd, dus tijd om dit op te slaan en te zien hoe lang het duurt voor ik weer op 50000000 punten zit :)

De beste wensen voor 2010 en maak er wat moois van :)

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather then German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that would become known as “Euro-English”.

In the first year, “s” will replace the soft “c”. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard “c” will be dropped in favour of “k”. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be a growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome “ph” will be replaced with “f”. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent “e” in the languag is disgrasful and is should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing “th” with “z” and “w” with “v”.
